While as an economist I have some issue with the misrepresentation of Smith's ideas and moral stance (but then his work has mostly been mis-appropriated by neo-liberal economists who didn't read him thoroughly), I really liked the suggestions in the second to last paragraph. Recognizing good - and sustainable - cooking as an artisan skill could really help.
