Lost for words at the beauty, originality and profound insights of N.A. Mansour's analysis. Truly brilliant to be able to see snapshots of the films discussed. It's something very special to subscribe to Vittles and see pieces like this. Thank you.

What a thought-provoking and moving film / essay. I was struck both by Mansour's calm focus on the food and culture, even as these were minor elements of the sometimes violent themes within the films she shared, as well as by her note that so many of the films currently produced by Palestinians are for Western audiences and film festivals, rather than for Palestinian consumption.

Great piece, thank you for also sharing the links for where to watch these films. I look forward to watching feiry debates on Maqloubeh set against fiery times.
