Great piece. I lived in West Wales for a year and on every pub menu for miles around would be gammon and chips with a fried egg for an extra quid.

One of the guys I worked with would only eat gammon and chips when he was forced by his partner to eat out. If it wasn't on the menu, he wouldn't go. I always loved it with a slice of tinned pineapple.
